This webinar is intended to inspire thought processes for multidisciplinary emergency managers around wildland fires and wildland urban interface incidents. Citing case studies and current events, the discussion will focus around preparedness, prevention and mitigation, and response. Case studies will include the 2013 Yarnell Hill incident in which 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots were killed, and recent events in fires in the Southeast. Included in the discussion will be tools that have been developed for community preparedness in the wildland and wildland urban interface incident disciplines.
